a weekend on 2-wheels
Oscar and I found ourselves home alone for a week without the girls so we spent the weekend on our bikes – Saturday in the wider estate of Stourhead and then on Sunday we rode along the canal to Bath to visit the Holburne Museum. We had lunch with a friend and we then cycled home. Over the two days we managed to cycle 44 miles which for 6 year old Oscar I think is very impressive.

Poole / Stourhead
Had a brilliant weekend – Saturday in Poole, Dorset with friends and their children. Went to the beach and enjoyed a dip (pool not sea). Today (Sunday) got up early and drove to Stourhead with the Rugby on the Radio. Oscar and I cycled with the head gardner Alan and 20 or so other volunteers around the wider estate. Absolutely breath taking scenery and all the more enjoyable that Alan kept on telling us about the history of the estate, buldings, trees etc. Well worth missing the rugby world cup final for. Oscar did a stellar job to cycle around 10 miles on and off road. Finished off at a pub for a ploughmans lunch with friends.
